Flying Fox
Part of the confidence course, the flying fox requires a higher level of supervision.
There should always be an adult supervisor at both the take-off and dismounting points.
At the launch platform, the supervising adult should make sure only one other, that is the next rider, is on the platform with her/him at any time.
Prior to launch it is essential that the return rope is clear of any obstacles that may cause the flying fox to stop abruptly.
Children should be kept clear of both the platform and the line of travel while it is in use.
This activity can be used in wet conditions - but not at night.
